Minutes of Meetings

1934-1972

This series consists of minutes of meetings of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and its Executive Committee. Most of the minutes pertain to the discussion of cases before the NLRB, and decisions made or deferred pending further information. Some of the minutes for the period 1939-1948 pertain to personnel matters, specifically the hiring or reclassification of employees. Included are minutes from meetings of the First National Labor Relations Board (July 1934 - May 1935) and the current NLRB (September 1935 - 1972). The Office of the Executive Secretary maintained the minutes from the first NLRB upon its establishment in 1940.
